On Aug. 15-16, 2007, we organized the FIRST "Boot Camp" for all Timberland Taiwan's retail store managers. It's a two days event. Our office staff spent huge effort before the camp. In my KFC days, there were at least 20 people from HR and Training Dept. to spend at least 2 months to prepare this kind of store manager convention. But in Timberland, HR department doesn't exsist. There is no training manager, either. Therefore, our Sales Manager and Area Manager have to prepare EVERYTHING. Fortunately, I have such a wonderful team of Allen, Joyce and Christy to lead this project. They only spent less than NTD 150,000 to deliever such a wonderful result. Every participant is so thrilled and appreciated about company's organizing this event.
This is Christy, Area Manager for North Taiwan. She is the key driver of this project. Her strength is on apparel merchanding, VM, staff training and motivation. I really like her a lot. Hope she can stay with us forever!
This is Allen, our Sales Manager. He is a tough guy who always tries his best to achieve company's goal. For our first "boot camp", he convinced me very easily that we need to spend more effort on retail staff by giving them a two days event to boost up moral and upgrade their professional knowledge. I think the message is very clearly delievered to all store managers.
